Choosing the course at Nottingham Trent was life changing for me. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

More about Sophie

"My interests lie in better understanding people - their attitudes, passions, behaviours, relationships with each other, and with the self. This fascination led me to complete a Masters in Psychology at Nottingham Trent University.

"Prior to the course I had spent eight years working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. Needless to say my transition into this new world involved a steep learning curve and was quite a challenge. However, the course itself and the dedicated support along the way far surpassed my expectations.

"The course has been carefully honed to offer students the best possible start in the field, providing opportunities to closely follow personal interests, while receiving dedicated support tailored to suit individual needs. Furthermore, there is a genuinely friendly atmosphere within the School of Social Sciences, demonstrated by all staff members, many of whom went out of their way to advise and guide me throughout the academic year.

"A month after graduation, I was offered a role as a qualitative researcher and online ethnographer at a boutique research agency. Most recently, I joined a small company as a semiotician and cultural analyst. My role now feeds into my fascination with the ways in which environment, culture, media and communications shape our perceptions of ourselves and of the world around us. It also integrates my prior experience in the creative industries, providing me with a robust grounding in the creation and analysis of visual communication, and the language of signs. I love it.

"Choosing the course at Nottingham Trent University was life changing for me. I cannot recommend it highly enough."
