More about Sumaiah
"I chose to study abroad because it gave me an opportunity to learn and understand differences in the way students are taught in different countries. I really liked the course description in the brochure and I felt that this was the place I wanted to be. Studying at NTU allowed me to expand my knowledge in a specific field whilst using different learning approaches and skills that are used worldwide.
"I am really enjoying all my modules especially International Politics of Transition, this is a major topic in the world today. Before studying this module I wasn’t aware of what the various transitions in the political world. I was only aware of what was shown in the media; however the module has opened up my mind and allowed me to see things in a different light.
"The second module that I enjoy is the Political Economy of International Security. One of the main concepts is the security in a dynamic and evolving area. Whereas traditional International Relations focuses on state and military-centric security issues, this module takes more critical and varied approach.
"NTU gave me the biggest chance to interact with people I never thought I’m going to meet or contact, I am so pleased with this achievement. In my project method, I am using interviews; these methods allow me to meet important decision makers in the politics world such as a Saudi ambassador in UK and American Consul in Saudi Arabia."
