Students at NTU

International Welcome Guide

We’ve put together all the information you need to prepare for studying and living in Nottingham. This guide includes information on student support services, healthcare, working in the UK, pre-arrival checklists and much more that will be helpful during your time at NTU.

Download the Welcome Guide for International Students 2017/18

Pre-departure information

We regularly hold pre-departure sessions in-country. You can contact your NTU country representative to find out if we're visiting near you soon. You can also email them to ask any questions about preparing for NTU.

Visas and immigration

Students from outside the EU/EEA are advised to check what visa will be needed to study at NTU. The majority of students coming to NTU for a course of more than 6 months will need to apply for a Tier 4 visa. You’ll find a lot of information about the visa application process and requirements on our website, including information on applying from inside and outside the UK.

If you need help with your visa application you can contact our International Student Support Team.

Enrolling at NTU

Enrolment is when you officially register as a student with Nottingham Trent University. You should start this process before you arrive. Follow these simple steps to start your enrolment.

Part of the enrolment process is paying your tuition fees - or organising an instalment agreement to pay the rest of your fees. This will need to be done before your course start date. Find information about payment methods for EU and international students.

You will complete your enrolment when you are in Nottingham.
