Campus tours

If you're joining us in September 2024 and would like to visit your future campus, book your place on a student-led campus tour to see some of the buildings and spaces you’ll use at NTU.

Book your visit

Tours are on Friday 17 May, Friday 24 May and Friday 31 May. They start from 11 am, and the last tour leaves at 1 pm. The tour will take approximately 45 minutes and there will be an opportunity to ask a student ambassador questions throughout.

Let us know your subject and course so that we can ensure you book a campus tour for the campus where your course will be taught.

Any questions about our campus tours?

On our campus tours, you’ll be guided through some of the buildings and spaces at NTU by one of our friendly student ambassadors. This includes seeing spaces such as lecture theatres and libraries. The tour will take approximately 45 minutes and there will be an opportunity to ask a student ambassador questions throughout.

Select accommodation spaces will be able for viewing on the day, with advisors on hand to answer your questions.

Staff from our Admissions, Accommodation, Employability, Student Money Team, Student Support Services, and NTU Sport teams will be available to help you discover more about life at NTU.

Visitors will be shown the inside of some of our key buildings during the tours and will have access to toilets.

Buildings open for viewing:

  • City campus – Newton building, Boots Library, University Hall and Nottingham Trent Students’ Union (NTSU)
  • Clifton campus – Pavilion, Teaching and Learning building, Clifton Library, Clifton Sports Hub and NTSU.
  • Brackenhurst campus – Lyth building, Brackenhurst Library and NTSU.

Visitors will be able to view an example of the accommodation available on each campus.

Advisors will also be available on-site to answer your questions.

Whilst we will endeavour to connect visitors with our teaching team, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee staff will be available on the day. You can always chat online with NTU staff and students if you have any questions about the course.

All of our course team staff will be available in person at one of our upcoming undergraduate open days:

  • Saturday 27 April 2024
  • Saturday 6 July 2024
  • Saturday 12 October 2024

Book your place on one of our undergraduate open days.

You can also chat online with our UCAS Admissions team or complete our enquiry form to get in touch.

Places are available for one visitor and up to three guests in a single booking. Multiple tours will be leaving at each time slot and will be delivered to groups of 15 – 20 people.

  • City Campus is on a slight slope.
  • Clifton Campus is completely self-contained and compact. It slopes gently in places but is generally accessible.

You may want to bring your own, but there are options for purchasing food and drink depending on which campus you’re visiting between 11 am – 1 pm.

  • City Campus: You’ll be able to grab a drink and something to eat at Café Newton and Refectory. There are also shops in the city centre, which are within walking distance of campus.
  • Clifton Campus: You’ll be able to visit our Barista and the Refectory in the Pavilion for refreshments. There is also a small retail park opposite the main entrance of the Clifton Campus – you can either walk or drive.
  • Brackenhurst Campus: Refreshments will be available in the Lyth building Refectory. You can also find shops in Southwell town centre, which is a 5–10 minute drive away from the Brackenhurst Campus.

Getting to our campuses

City Campus

If you’re travelling to Nottingham by car, we recommend you use the city's park and ride services, as parking in the centre can quickly become expensive and there is no on-campus parking provision. We recommend that you use one of the following sites and board any tram serving Toton Lane or Clifton South:

  • The Forest (NG7 6AQ) – journey time: approximately 5 minutes to the Nottingham Trent University stop
  • Wilkinson Street (NG7 7NW) – journey time: approximately 10 minutes to the Nottingham Trent University stop
  • Phoenix Park (NG8 6AS) – journey time: approximately 20 minutes to the Nottingham Trent University stop.

Make sure you buy a ticket before you board the tram and alight at the Nottingham Trent University stop. It is now mandatory to wear a face covering on public transport. Visit the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) website for more information on the city’s Park and Ride services.

Visit the Nottingham City Council website for more information on parking in Nottingham city centre.

Clifton Campus

The postcode for our Clifton Campus is NG11 8NS and free parking is available on-site.

Brackenhurst Campus

Brackenhurst is located roughly 14 miles north-east of Nottingham city centre and the postcode is NG25 0QF. There are plenty of free parking spaces available on-site.

Not able to visit?

If you can't attend a campus tour, our virtual tour allows you to get to know your subject in more detail, take a closer look at the facilities and learning spaces you'll be using, and get a general feel for what it's like to study at NTU.

There are 360-degree views of our accommodation and videos that'll give you a flavour of life on campus.
