How to make the most of your open day

Plan your journey

You'll be visiting our City Campus and you'll find parking and travel instructions below. If you’re planning to spend the night in Nottingham, information on places to stay is available at Visit Nottinghamshire.

Get to know your course

A subject talk programme will be confirmed in early October and you'll be able to see your subject facilities on the day.

We recommend that you prioritise your day around your subject talk, but if you miss a talk or you’re interested in more than one subject, speak to our academic staff who will be available at subject stands.

Take a guided tour

Explore our outstanding facilities through student-led tours and see what we have to offer. Tours of Nottingham city centre will also be available from our City Campus.

Find your new home

Take a look at our range of accommodation and see which one is right for you.

Chat to our staff and current students

Our inspiring staff and current students will also be available to answer your questions and give you a real sense of what it's like to study at NTU.

Parking:

If you’re travelling to Nottingham by car, we recommend you use the city's park and ride services, as parking in the centre can quickly become expensive and there is no on-campus parking provision. We recommend that you use one of the following sites and board any tram serving Toton Lane or Clifton South:

  • The Forest (NG7 6AQ) – journey time: approximately 5 minutes to the Nottingham Trent University stop
  • Wilkinson Street (NG7 7NW) – journey time: approximately 10 minutes to the Nottingham Trent University stop
  • Phoenix Park (NG8 6AS) – journey time: approximately 20 minutes to the Nottingham Trent University stop.

Make sure you buy a ticket before you board the tram and alight at the Nottingham Trent University stop. It is now mandatory to wear a face covering on public transport. Visit the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) website for more information on the city’s Park and Ride services.

Visit the Nottingham City Council website for more information on parking in Nottingham city centre.
