Mansfield Site Open Day Digital Guide

We’re delighted that you are planning to attend our Open Day on Saturday 16 October. The event will run from 10 am to 2 pm.

There’s plenty to see and do at our Mansfield site and this digital guide will help you get the most out of your visit. Look out for our friendly staff and students on the day – they’ll be wearing pink T-shirts and will be on-hand to answer your questions.

Please note that you only need to attend your subject talk once. We repeat the same talks to give everyone a chance to attend.

Things to do while you're here

Deciding where to start at an Open Day can be an overwhelming decision. Your visit can be as long or short as you like, but please note that some activities are only offered at set times on the day. Below are our suggestions as to how you might want to spend your day, the order that you complete these activities is flexible and dependent on the time you arrive.

  • Attend a subject talk – 20 minutes
  • Visit a subject hub and chat with academics – timings will vary based on your needs
  • Visit the student information hub – timings will vary based on your needs
  • Comfort and refreshment breaks – 30 – 60 mins

Travelling to our Mansfield site

Based at Vision West Nottinghamshire College, approximately 14 miles north of Nottingham, travelling to NTU in Mansfield couldn't be easier.

Staying safe on site

The safety of our visitors, staff and students is our top priority. This event has been planned and will be conducted in line with the University’s COVID-19 measures. These will be continuously reviewed in the lead up to the Open Day and if required we may have to amend our schedule of activities to remain compliant with Government guidance. Should we need to do this we will notify all visitors in advance. You can help us by also following these guidelines:

  • Please conduct a Lateral Flow Test before travelling to our Mansfield site.
  • Please wear a face mask in crowded spaces.
  • Please do not travel to our Mansfield site if you feel unwell or have any symptoms.

We will ensure that hand sanitiser stations are available at multiple points on each of our campuses and encourage all guests to utilise them.

Publicity photography and filming

Please be aware that filming and photography will be taking place throughout the day at this event.

Any images captured may be used for Nottingham Trent University’s publicity purposes, such as prospectuses, internal and external newsletters, the University’s website, social media platforms and advertising the University publicly. It may be provided to local or national newspapers and educational magazines or shared with third parties, as well as being used in future open day advertising. Please note that the images could be streamed live and immediately online.

If you do not want your image to be used as set out or shared with our third parties, please notify a member of staff so that we can take appropriate steps to ensure you are not included.
