Protecting the NTU Community from COVID-19
The Government has now started to implement its ‘living with COVID plan’ across England. As our approach has been throughout, we will abide by the updated guidance from the Department for Education and the general COVID-19 support.
Being On Campus
Face coverings are no longer required on campus, however for some have become a way of life and wearing them – or not – is a personal choice that we should all respect.
- Hand sanitiser stations are readily available across our campuses.
- We are using state-of-the-art equipment and virucidual cleaner for our communal areas.
- People are encouraged to clean desks, IT and communal equipment after personal use.
- Cleaning materials are available throughout our buildings.
- Our ventilation systems continue to run on the full fresh-air circulation.
- Students are asked to report any cleaning or ventilation issues to their tutor or course leader who will ensure the issues are reported and resolved.
If you have any questions about being on campus, please email enquiries@ntu.ac.uk. or call us on +44(0)115 848 2999.
Access to COVID-19 vaccinations for NTU students
To help protect our NTU and local community we’re encouraging all our students to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters as soon as possible.
To book, please visit: Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination - NHS (www.nhs.uk)
Experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
Should you develop COVID-19 symptoms, then please make a careful decision as to whether you come to campus ahead of taking a test. Behave as you would if you suspected you had flu.
Testing for COVID-19
Those working and studying at universities are no longer asked to test twice a week or before they come on to campus. It is now your choice how often you take a test.
Testing positive
If you test positive, please continue to follow government advice. You no longer need to report your positive test result but please contact our Student Support Services team if you need any support whether financial or pastoral. If students are living in Halls of Residence and would like further support, they can email support4halls@ntu.ac.uk.
