Welcome Week

Welcome Week is for all of our new students, including new postgraduate students – whether you've studied here before or are new to NTU. Your action-packed introduction to university life: 21 – 30 September.

Welcome Week is a varied and vibrant programme of activities and events designed to welcome you to NTU – and its also your introduction to your new student community. It’s full of opportunities to make friends with people you identify with as well as meet and learn from those of other backgrounds and cultures.

Events are repeated throughout the week and most are free or heavily subsidised, meaning you can carry on all your old hobbies – or pick up some new ones – at NTU. With so much going on, Welcome Week offers something for everyone, and we're sure you'll have a fantastic first week with us.

What's on?

There's something for everyone to get involved with during Welcome Week, with over 500 events and activities on offer. Whether that's joining one of over 110 societies or 60 sports clubs, it's a great way of meeting new people.

We offer a diverse entertainments program throughout Welcome Week that caters to all tastes and interests, from pub quizzes to day trips.

Visit the Welcome Week website to find out more.

Arriving early

Some of our students like to arrive in Nottingham early to settle into their new home. If you are planning to arrive before Welcome Week there are events happening from Monday 17 September 2018 to help you meet other students and familiarise yourself with your new surroundings.

The Global Lounge, NTU Sport and International Student Support will be hosting a range of events to help you settle in and make new friends.
