Our Creative Quarter Campus is home to the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, delivering our foundation degrees and diplomas in the creative arts.
Confetti was founded by Craig Chettle, a former music producer and sound engineer, as a specialist music institute. Over the years it has developed into a renowned creative industry centre, teaching animation, games, graphic design, film, TV, live events, music and visual effects. Confetti courses are vocational – they are connected to the industries you want to work in and they are designed to give you the very best chance of success.
Confetti also runs a number of commercial businesses – film and TV production company Spool, record label Denizen, creative business hub Antenna and Constellations, a specialist furniture design and manufacturing business. They are also partners with Nottingham’s award-winning television station Notts TV, which broadcasts on Virgin, Freeview and online to a local and global audience.
All of these commercial businesses offer students unique opportunities to get first-hand industry experience, from getting signed to our record label, to working behind the scenes on live TV programmes and meeting creative businesses to establish great contacts.
Nottingham is a student-friendly city with a whole lot going on – with a vibrant nightlife and a wide range of places to hang out. The unique character and atmosphere of the Creative Quarter is centred around the historic Lace Market and Hockley area, just a stone’s throw from Confetti. Famous for its independent retailers, Nottingham’s Creative Quarter is a hotbed of culture and home to many of the city’s vintage stores, bars and restaurants – all of which add to the unique character and atmosphere.
‘Do It For Real’ industry experience lies at the heart of Confetti’s courses - offering ambitious students hundreds of opportunities to gain real industry experience. Expect assignments set by the industry, in-house showcase events, internships and a host of freelance opportunities. With a record label, TV station, film & post-production company all part of the Confetti Media Group family – no one does industry links quite like Confetti do. That level of exposure, experience and talent development places you ahead of the game - ensuring the very best chances of employment when you graduate.
