Staff book club network

Join Tracy Lowe in person at Brackenhurst Campus — or online —  every second Wednesday of the month for our staff book club.

A women laid on a sofa reading a book.

Tracy is a lifelong lover of books. She works in the library on our Brackenhurst Campus and loves her job (her words!). Basically she loves books. Buying them, reading them, reviewing them, sharing them and talking about them. Join Tracy at these sessions for chats all about books, and look forward to some relaxed friendly book chat to start the next academic year.

All our book clubs are open to all staff and are free to attend. Please share with your work friends and colleagues who may be interested. Let's get talking about books! So far this year, we've read The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman, Tasting Sunlight, a beautiful novel by Ewald Arenz, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro and Keeping the House by Tice Cin.

Join us this term to discuss All the Light We Cannot See from the highly acclaimed, multiple award-winning Anthony Doerr. This was an instant New York Times bestseller about a blind French girl and a German boy whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II.

The May Book of the Month is The Satsuma Complex by Bob Mortimer. A page-turning story with a cast of unforgettable characters, The Satsuma Complex is the brilliantly funny first novel by bestselling author and comedian Bob Mortimer.
