Looking to join a bookclub or maybe even launch one of your own? Get involved in our Staff Bookclub network.

Whether you’re a keen reader and on the hunt for recommended books, looking to meet new friends and enjoy lively conversation, or trying to find a way to bring your team and other colleagues together, our WRAP bookclub network could be the answer.

You can find details of upcoming staff bookclub meetings below. All of our bookclubs are free to attend and currently taking place online via Teams.

Be a WRAP bookclub champion

We're looking for staff champions to coordinate small bookclubs across the University. In return, WRAP will provide guidance and support to help you get set up and running! Email to register your interest and find out more.

Any avid reader knows that the right book can be life-changing. Which books have changed your life? Led by WRAP Programme Manager Becky Cullen, this book club is a chance to share your favourite reads and receive recommendations from other bookworms.

Who better to lead a discussion on a book about libraries than one of our valued staff members from Brackenhurst Library! Tracy Lowe will be talking about Matt Haig's latest novel The Midnight Library, an enchanting story that explores what would happen if we could go back and live life's missed opportunities.

Join Vanessa Dodd to discuss the critically acclaimed debut novel Queenie by Candace Carty-Williams. Queenie is a painfully funny coming-of-age story that manages to skilfully cover topics such as race, class and mental health while remaining relatable to every modern-day woman.
