Coping with exam stress

Exams and assessments are an essential part of university life, and it is normal to find them stressful or feel anxious. We have a wealth of resources available to students across the University to help alleviate this stress and take the pressure off exam season.

Student Support Services

It is vital to look after your physical and mental wellbeing during stressful periods. Student Services has a wealth of advice and resources to support students on their Health and mental wellbeing page.

If you are a student with a disability, you can find more tailored support through Disability and inclusion services.

Student Support Services have also devised the Stamp Out Stress (SOS) campaign, which is a programme of activities and top tips to combat exam stress, including the Student Minds tips and techniques for coping.

Library resources

You can book a study spaces in our libraries, and if you need study advice, you can also book an appointment to develop your study skills with a member of the Learning and Teaching Team or a Student Mentor.
