Free tickets for new Metronome Sessions events

Published: 08/01/2021

NTU students can get their hands on free tickets for an exciting series of livestreamed events, including music performances, Q&As and masterclasses with industry professionals.

Following the success of livestreamed performances for Nottingham Poetry Festival in November, Metronome is launching a series of online events. Metronome Sessions, of which three dates have been announced, includes a variety of events – from music gigs to Q&As and masterclasses.

Simon Raymonde (Bella Union/Cocteau Twins)
Tuesday 2 March

The first event is a live Q&A – courtesy of BBC Radio’s Dean Jackson – with Simon Raymonde (Bella Union/Cocteau Twins). They will discuss Simon's journey through the music business, as an artist and as a record label founder, his thoughts on the future of music, and Simon will share invaluable advice for the next generation of musical talent.

Marta Salogni (Bjork, Bon Iver, M.I.A, Dream Wife)
Monday 8 March, 6 pm

Metronome welcomes world-class engineer/producer Marta Salogni (Bjork, Bon Iver, Dream Wife) critiquing mixes in a masterclass. She’ll also be talking about her own processes from engineering through to production and mixing. Ticket holders will be able to submit their mixes for Marta to listen to using her extensive experience working with the cream of alternative music.

Natalie Dunca + Ajay Henry
Friday 19 March

Natalie Duncan and Ajay Henry will both be performing sets livestreamed from Metronome. Duncan is a local singer-songwriter creating blues, soul and R&B music. Henry combines timeless melodic song writing with a modern production style, delivering classic R&B with a modern aesthetic.

Tickets are available from the Metronome website. Enter promocode STU01 and use your NTU email address when ordering online.
