Construction of our new Design & Digital Arts building commences
Published: 12/05/2022
If you've been on City Campus this week, you might have spotted that works to construct our new landmark Design & Digital Arts building for the Nottingham School of Art & Design have started.
This week, a section of Shakespeare Street in front of the development site has been closed to maintain a safe working area for the contractor as they set up contractor offices, welfare facilities and site hoarding. As a result of this closure, vehicles exiting the City Campus are being diverted up Dryden Street. All vehicles can however continue to enter the campus via Shakespeare Street.
There may be some noise and disruption to neighbouring university buildings at some stages during the works, however we're working closely to minimise disruption where possible.
It's intended that as construction progresses, a full road closure in front of the development site will be implemented around mid-summer 2022. We'll share details of this with you once we have more information.
