Family History programme for NTU students

Published: 19/09/2023

Develop your family history skills and more with this 7-week programme.

Join the seven-week Family History course run by Dr. Cheryl Rounsaville (NTU Global Lounge) and learn how to build a family tree, do family history research, the role of DNA in family history, and learn about the resources available to undertake this research.

Family History research is about more than the names and dates. It is about uncovering your family stories and learning more about your ancestors, for example where they lived, what they did for work, what historical events they experienced and more!

This programme is open to all current NTU students.

The course is on Wednesdays, 5 – 7 pm on City Campus and will run between 11 October – 29 November 2023.

Students who attend at least 5 sessions and do the final project will receive a certificate of completion.

Deadline to register is Wednesday 4 October.
