The Jamie Marshall Awards: Celebrating students making a difference

Published: 24/06/2025

On Wednesday 21 May, NTU’s Centre for Student and Community Engagement (CenSCE) hosted our annual Jamie Marshall Awards event.

These awards celebrate students who’ve made an outstanding contribution to the community through volunteering and mentoring and are based on specific characteristics they’ve embodied throughout the year: kindness, resilience, a supportive nature, and a sense of fun.

Named in honour of a much-loved NTU colleague, Jamie Marshall, who passed away in 2016, these awards recognise qualities he represented, and his unwavering dedication to championing the success of local young people.
