Could you be a student member of the new NTU Library Advisory Board (LAB)?

Students using NTU library
Be a part of shaping your NTU library

Join NTU students and library staff to help develop library spaces, services, and resources to meet the needs of students. LAB members will give the library guidance and feedback on its activities and services. LAB will meet regularly throughout the academic year and student members (up to 12 in total) will get involved in library focus groups, usability testing, surveys, and attend meetings.

The library is particularly seeking to enable under-represented groups to influence decision-making and planning. LAB will be comprised of as diverse a group of students as possible to make library services more inclusive and accessible. All students can apply to be members regardless of academic status. Prior committee or board experience isn’t required.

LAB members will be able to:

  • communicate student priorities, needs and concerns to the library
  • help the library improve the student experience and identify emerging student needs
  • gain committee work experience
  • receive a letter of reference upon completing a membership term, highlighting the committee-based skills they have gained, plus providing feedback to improve students’ experiences
  • collaborate with other Board members to discuss and propose creative solutions.

To apply, please complete the expression of interest by Friday 16 December.
