To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week, Student Mental Health Champion, Riya, tells us how being involved in the NTU community has a big positive impact on her mental health.

Riya, Mental Health Champion

Postgraduate student, Riya, became a Student Mental Health Champion because she wanted to help others. But she did not expect just how much being involved in the NTU community would support her own mental health in return.

In her blog, Riya shares the positive impact of leading activities such as wellbeing walks and climate cafes, as well as her time with Enactus NTU.

She also goes on to list the ways you could get more involved in the NTU community, from societies and volunteering to Global Lounge and wellbeing activities.

Community, for me, is not just about organised events or official roles. It is about the feeling of belonging, the chance to be heard, and the comfort of knowing you are not alone.
