Your sexual health matters

It’s helpful to know about the services and support you can access for your sexual health.

Condom

Making the decision to have sex comes with responsibility - you must look after yourself and your partner. It's important to protect both of you from sexually transmitted infections.

Did you know that some sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) show no symptoms? And did you know that you have access to free condoms?

You can get an STI test sent through the post to do in the comfort of your own home, and you can also get free condoms on-campus or through the post. Take a look at the list below to find out how:

  • Healthy NTU can post condoms out to you, just email healthyntu@ntu.ac.uk with your address.
  • The City and Clifton Health Centres provide free condoms and also do testing. You’ll need to be registered with the practice though.
  • At Brackenhurst you can get free condoms from the Student Support Centre reception desk in Lyth and from SEXions, who are in Lyth building reception every other Wednesday from 11 - 2 pm.
  • You can get free condoms from outside the NTSU Information & Advice Service offices.
  • Condoms and testing are also available from the NUH Sexual Health team, based at Victoria Health Centre in the City Centre.

For more information on sexual health take a look at our Healthy NTU pages or come along to Nottingham Trent Students’ Union’s sexual health and guidance fairs (SHAG) from Monday 20 March – Sunday 26 March. There will be fun activities, a quiz, free condoms and advice and information.
