NTU Arts is delighted to announce its spring concert programme for University Hall, featuring a whole host of internationally-renowned artists! From classical to global roots music, they’ll be showcasing a wide range of genres designed to celebrate the diversity of the NTU community.

For most events, tickets are pay what you decide, meaning you can enjoy them from as little as £1. Keep reading to find out what there is to look forward to over the next few months.

Thursday 29 February

Tāla Tarang

To coincide with Nottingham Trent University's Global Week, NTU Arts are welcoming back internationally-renowned tabla player Mendi Singh to University Hall, this time performing with harpist Eleanor Turner as duo, Tāla Tarang.

Monday 18 March

Davina Songbird

Accompanied by pianist Rachael Johnson, Nottingham-based singer/songwriter Davina Songbird brings sounds of jazz and neo soul, as well as some spoken word elements, to give you a mesmerising evening of powerful vocals, featuring jazz standards and original compositions and poems.

Friday 12 April

Kadialy Kouyate

NTU Arts welcomes Senegalese kora virtuoso/singer Kadialy Kouyate and his talented band to University Hall, performing original music inspired by his West African griot roots.

Friday 19 April

BBC Concert Orchestra, 'A Fiddler's Tale'

Join musicians from the world-famous BBC Concert Orchestra, conductor Martyn Brabbins and a guest narrator for this special performance of Wynton Marsalis' A Fiddler's Tale. With tickets from just £5, this is a fantastic opportunity to experience world-class music in an intimate venue, right here in Nottingham.

Tuesday 7 May

Aidan Chan

Irish-Chinese pianist Aidan Chan takes to the stage showcasing a dynamic programme featuring Wagner transcriptions by Kocsis and Liszt, and works from Qigang Chen and Chen Yi. We're also delighted to commission a new work from award-winning British-Chinese composer Alex Ho, that will be premiered at this event.
