NTU Arts is delighted to welcome Nottingham-based singer/songwriter Davina Songbird to University Hall. Accompanied by pianist Rachael Johnson, Davina brings sounds of jazz and neo soul and some spoken word elements to give you a mesmeric evening of powerful vocals. Featuring jazz standards and original compositions and poems, pay what you decide for tickets.

Pay what you decide for an evening of jazz, neo soul and spoken word from fabulous Nottingham singer/songwriter Davina Songbird.
Davina Songbird – vocals
Davina is a Nottingham based singer/songwriter, published author and spoken word artist. Davina brings you sounds of Jazz and Neo Soul with some spoken word elements to give you a mesmeric night of powerful vocals. Her original music and poetry come from the heart and will leave you inspired with topics such as self-love, self-worth and knowing who you truly are.
Rachael Johnson – piano
Rachael is a Jazz pianist and composer with a degree in jazz from London College of Music. She has performed at Glastonbury Festival several times and with her own trio in Copenhagen Jazz Festival. Her style can be described as rhythmical with melodic modal improvised over tones.
Her jazz giant influencers are Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock and the more recent Joe Armon-Jones from Ezra Collective.

Age guidance: 7+, under 14s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+

Situated on the University’s City Campus, University Hall is a short walk from Nottingham city centre. Due to our central location we don’t have visitor parking available, but public transport will bring you almost to our door.
If you’re intending to park in the city centre, the closest (and largest) facilities to our City Campus are:

- Talbot Street (NG1 5GG)
- The Victoria Centre (NG1 3QN)

Visitors travelling on the tram are advised to get off at the Nottingham Trent University stop on Goldsmith Street.
