We're recruiting Library Student Mentors for 2024/25

Have you ever thought about helping other students with their academic writing, maths and stats?

- Are you currently a first year, second year or placement student, a PhD candidate, or are you planning to do a Master’s degree next year?
- Do you feel that you can inspire others to improve their academic study skills, writing or maths?
Did you answer "yes" to these questions? Then we want to hear from you!
The Library is looking for students with good academic skills to offer peer guidance via one-to-one appointments, participation in workshops, and involvement in a range of schemes to enhance student learning.
You will receive full training, and have the opportunity to develop your confidence and essential skills such as time management, facilitation, communication, and leadership in a job that fits around your studies.

Key application dates
- Applications are live – Monday 4 March.
- Library Mentor Vacancy Briefing sessions will run from Monday 11 March – Friday 22 March.
- Deadline for applications – midnight on Friday 22 March.
- Selection to take place the week commencing Monday 25 March.
- Interview notification – Monday 8 April.
- Interviews are provisionally set for the week commencing Monday 15 April.
- Compulsory training is provisionally set for week commencing Monday 9 September.
