We've launched a new way for you to stay informed about library news, resources, services and system updates.

The Library Updates Viva Engage community is available to all NTU students, providing a central space for key library announcements and updates.

What you'll find in the community

The Library Updates Viva Engage community will be used to share:

• new library resources, including databases, eBooks, journal collections, open access initiatives and collections
• resource changes and updates, such as platform migrations, supplier changes, authentication updates, and subscription cancellations
• planned maintenance and downtime affecting library systems and services
• service alerts, including temporary outages and access issues
• updates when services have been restored and returned to normal operation.

The community will also be used to share information about:

• library opening hours and changes to operating times
• building closures and refurbishment updates
• study spaces, facilities and equipment availability
• library events, workshops, exhibitions and wellbeing activities.

Why Viva Engage?

The Library Updates Viva Engage community replaces the WordPress blogs previously used for eResources and Primo-related communications.

Moving to Viva Engage will help us:

• reach staff and students through a platform already integrated with Microsoft 365
• enable users to react to updates, ask questions, and engage with library announcements
• create a single location for library communications and service information.

Updates from the community can also be surfaced through Outlook notifications and SharePoint pages.
