Each initiative brings something different to your Employability toolkit, whether that’s hearing from a wide range of professionals and inclusive employers about breaking into the job market or learning a bunch of new attributes and skills to shout about at interview or include as part of your CV.

Empowering Ethnic Minorites Series

Covering a range of different sectors from law, business and STEM to the creative industries and public sector - the Empowering Ethnic Minorities series is an opportunity to learn from ethnic minority professionals and inclusive employers about breaking into a variety of different industries.

This series is designed to empower ethnic minority students to enter the sector by providing relatable industry insights and awareness to increase sector diversity. The events will focus on career journeys, accomplishments and ethnic diversity through panel discussions and networking opportunities.

Women’s Development Programme (WDP)

Focusing on six key areas – resilience, confidence, assertiveness, leadership, self-advocacy and allyship – the Women’s Development Programme (WDP) is programme created for female, female identifying and non-binary students to improve their skills and attributes before entering the world of work.

As well as building your confidence, the programme will not only provide you with a network, but the opportunity to have a 1:1 mentoring sessions with experienced NTU alumni.

Digital Marketing Academy (DMA)

The Digital Marketing Academy (DMA) is a programme designed to support all NTU students to find out more about digital marketing, gain practical skills and increase your chances of securing a placement or graduate role in the digital marketing sector.

Grads4Nottm

Throughout a two-week work-experience programme, you’ll be able to select your preference from 36 local employers and collaborate on an exciting project, task, or challenge. Open to all NTU student and recent graduates, the Grads4Nottm initiative is your chance to work within a small group on exciting challenges, all set by local businesses.

Grit: Connect, Develop, Grow workshops

Each year, the team from Grit partners with NTU to deliver one-day and three-day coaching workshops which are available to all NTU students.

These free workshops are a transformational personal development opportunity, aimed at supporting NTU students to unlock their own potential.
