Why go abroad?

Studying abroad opens the door to diverse new experiences and enhances career prospects. Discover why going abroad could be the best decision for your future.

Study abroad gives you the opportunity to:

  • meet new people
  • build a global network of friends and connections
  • learn a new language.

You also develop important skills for your future career, including:

  • communicating with people from different cultures
  • being adaptable and open-minded
  • building independence and problem solving skills
  • gaining confidence and leadership abilities.

Students who study or work abroad during their studies are more likely to:

  • achieve a first-class or upper second-class degree
  • be in a graduate level job or further study
  • have stronger employability and transferable skills, and earn more.

Find out where you can study abroad with your NTU degree. You may be eligible to apply for scholarships and funding, especially if you come from a disadvantaged background or have special educational needs or disabilities.

NTU Global also offers a variety of partly funded short-term summer programmes. Be sure to explore these options and other study or work opportunities available to enhance your global experience and broaden your horizons during your time at NTU.

I have been able to experience different cultures while learning about international law. This has provided me with knowledge and experiences for my career in the future.
