  • Changing rooms and locker facilities
  • Dr Bike sessions on each campus and bike training
  • Bike hire

By train

If you’re planning on coming by train, timetable information is available from National Rail. Nottingham Station is located less than a mile away from our City Campus.

Students can find discounted train travel via a railcard which can be purchased from National Rail.

By car

Parking in Nottingham city centre is very limited. It is recommended that students travelling by car use park and ride services together with the discounted ticket options provided by Nottingham City Transport and NET.

If you live outside of Nottingham city centre and plan to travel to the City Campus by car, we recommend using the city’s Park and Ride services, as parking in the city centre can quickly become expensive.

We recommend that you use one of the following Park and Ride sites:

You must purchase a valid ticket to park. The car parks are monitored and you may get fined if you do not meet the terms and conditions of the site.

Disability Permit, non residential

A limited number of parking permits are available for students with disabilities or medical conditions that are expected to last longer than 12 months. Students can purchase a permit via the online store, the release date is Tuesday 18 August 2026 at 9am.

Students must first contact the Student Disability Support team for assessment before purchasing a permit.

Blue Badge holders

Blue Badge holders do not need to pay for parking but should provide their details to the Disability Support team.

An access code will be required to purchase a permit following approval.

By foot

Walking or running is one of the best ways to stay healthy whilst travelling to campus. NTU has created a traffic free heart of campus at the three main campuses and works with the local authorities to continually improve public facilities. Information on local walks from campus, mostly in green spaces, can be found on the sustainability web pages, which can improve the health and wellbeing of students.
