Funding your studies

Find out about your student finance and how to fund your studies in 2026/27.

Full-time home undergraduates 2026/27

The following support is available:

• A Tuition Fee Loan: Up to £9,790 per year to pay your tuition fees.
• A Maintenance Loan: Up to £10,830 in 2026/27. This depends on your household income and whether you live in your parental home during term time. Students who receive certain benefits can get up to £12,345 per year.
• NTU London students may be eligible for a  Maintenance Loan of up to  £14,135 or £15,415 if you receive certain benefits.
• Student Finance grants are available if you have a dependant.
• University bursaries or scholarships for eligible students.

If you study a health-related course, you may also be entitled to NHS funding via the Learning Support Fund. Our NHS funding page provides more information.

Part-time home undergraduates 2026/27

The following support is available.

• A Tuition Fee Loan: Up to £7,335 (per year to pay for your tuition fees).
• A Maintenance Loan, dependent on your circumstances. The amount you can apply for depends on:
  • the length and intensity of your course
  • your household income
  • whether you're living in your parental home during term-time.

Home Postgraduates studying a Masters course

The following support is available.

• For courses commencing in 2026/27, A Postgraduate Masters Loan: £13,206 paid to you directly.

This loan is paid over the duration of your studies.

Home Doctoral students applying to Student Finance England

The following support is available.

• For courses commencing in 2026/27, a Postgraduate Doctoral Loan: £31,122 paid to you directly.

This loan is paid over the duration of your studies.
