Funding your studies
Information outlining the funding available from the Student Loans Company. This information is for Home (UK) students.
Full-time home undergraduates
The following support is available (please note this support is for students who do not study/live in London):
- A Tuition Fee Loan: Up to £9,250 (2024/25) or £9,535 (2025/26) per year to pay your tuition fees.
- A Maintenance Loan: Up to £10,227 in 2024/25. This depends on your household income and whether you live in your parental home during term time. Students who receive certain benefits can get up to £11,658 per year. The figures for 2025/26 are £10,554 and £12,019 respectively.
- Student Finance grants are available if you have a dependant.
- University bursaries or scholarships for eligible students.

If you study a health-related course, you may also be entitled to NHS funding via the Learning Support Fund. Our NHS funding page provides more information.
Part-time home undergraduates
The following support is available.
- A Tuition Fee Loan: Up to £6,935 (2024/25) or £7,145 (2025/26) per year to pay for your tuition fees.
- A Maintenance Loan, dependent on your circumstances. The amount you can apply for depends on:
- the length and intensity of your course
- your household income
- whether you're living in your parental home during term-time.

Home Postgraduates studying a Masters course
The following support is available.
- A Postgraduate Masters Loan: £12,471 (2024/25 or £12,858 (2025/26) paid to you directly.
This loan is paid over the duration of your studies.

The following support is available.
- A Postgraduate Doctoral Loan: £29,390 (2024/25) or £30,301 (2025/26) paid to you directly.
This loan is paid over the duration of your studies.
