Important information about your library

Published: 21/01/2021

The Library buildings are currently open for essential use only but many online resources are still available to you.

Following Government guidance you must only visit the Library if it is essential and you are either studying a future critical worker course or fall into one of the five defined categories of special circumstances.

Study spaces are available on an essential access only basis for the above students. All other students should only return to campus when their in-person teaching has resumed.

For all other students, the Library provides access to a wide range of online services including first line IT support, access to eResources and academic skills support. Please use the Library’s online services as much as possible, and remember that if you do visit the Library, face coverings must be worn at all times.

We have compiled a list of Library FAQ’s which detail current service provision, and the Library website provides further information and links to useful resources including LinkedIn Learning and Skills for Success to support you with your studies

For students using the library online, we provide extensive resources via Library One Search.

If you need help using any of our online resources, you can book a 1-1 appointment with a member of the Learning and Teaching Team, or book onto one of the Lunchtime Learning webinars and workshops.

The library 60 second support videos available via NOW, offer guidance on a range of study topics, ideal for when you need a quick online tutorial.
