Our Lateral Flow Testing service now includes test kit collections
Published: 11/05/2021
NTU is continuing to offer Lateral Flow Tests to support students and colleagues who need to be on campus. From 17 May, all students can return to campus for in-person teaching so it’s important that we regularly test to help protect our NTU and wider community.
There are now two ways you can test regularly:
On-campus testing
If you are coming to campus you are encouraged to book twice weekly Lateral Flow Tests to help keep yourself and others safe. If you are on campus frequently you should take part in testing regularly.
The tests will help stop the spread of COVID-19 as we are able to identify those people who are infected but not displaying any symptoms.
Lateral Flow Tests are free, self-administered and should take less than ten minutes.
Home test kits
From 17 May you can also choose to collect free home testing kits from your preferred site. Booking for collection is advisable and the booking site will allow to select an option for test kit collection.
Each kit contain seven tests so will last for 3 and a half weeks. All kits contain instructions on how to register and administer the test.
Book your on-campus Lateral Flow Test or test kit collection
Booking for on-campus testing is available at City, Clifton or Brackenhurst. You can also book to collect test kits from City, Clifton, Brackenhurst and Mansfield.
Please book in advance to avoid long waits as we expect high demand.
If you test positive
If you receive a positive COVID-19 test result you must return home immediately (or remain at home if you have tested positive using the home test kit) and follow the NHS advice on self-isolation. If you used public transport to get to campus please call the NTU Being on Campus helpline 0115 848 6060. We will arrange your transport home to minimise contact with others.
