NTU is recruiting a team of student content creators – could this be you?

NTU’s Communications, Admissions, Marketing and Student Recruitment Team (CAMS) is looking to recruit a team of enthusiastic and ambitious students to produce and present creative content across NTU’s official social media channels. We strongly believe that our students are the best people to inform and engage with prospective students about all aspects of university life and showcase what life is like at NTU.

What will the role entail?

The role is varied and there are several opportunities you can get involved in, such as creating dynamic videos for the NTU TikTok or Instagram page on topics ranging from campus life, visiting Nottingham city centre and mental wellbeing. Other activities include running takeovers on the main social media accounts, showing everything from everyday life on campus to what Nottingham city has to offer. You will also get the opportunity to set up blogs and vlogs documenting your student life experience which would sit across our main social media channels.

We are very interested in hearing your innovative ideas on what students might want to know and hear about based on your own personal experience at NTU. You’ll get an opportunity to share your ideas, opinions and experiences as an NTU student, collaborating across the team of ambassadors and working alongside our Social Media team.

What skills do you need?

We want people who are passionate about creating helpful, informative, funny and engaging content. You will be active on social media, familiar with the main social platforms, comfortable being in front of a camera, and have a desire to share your student life experience. We’re looking for content creators with a professional mindset, you’ll have attention to detail, be able to use your initiative, have strong communication skills and take a professional approach to representing the University.

The role begins on the 25 October 2021 and will end on the 31 August 2022. Pay rate will include £8.91 per hour plus holiday pay, the hours of work will be varied around your timetable and will include approximately 8.5 hours per week. The location of this role will be dependent on the job; however, it will be mostly situated around the NTU’s campuses and Nottingham city centre.
