After months of hard work from our wonderful BA Fashion Design students, the BA Fashion Design x Emmanuel House upcycled outerwear project showcase successfully ended on Wednesday 12 October.

For those who never heard of this project – it was a fashion show showcasing our second-year students' design.

Students had to carefully consider their ideas and how they might customise them to be suitable, sustainable, and warm for homeless people while still having character, their final products were made from 80% reused materials. The aim of this project was to create sustainable, warm clothing for homeless people. Many service users were welcome to choose their favourite outfit for free and the remaining clothes will be sold in the Emmanuel House charity shop to raise funds.

Thanks to our staff and students that worked on this project, it undoubtedly had a big impact on our local community.
