The Knowledge Cafe is our new hub for creative and collaborative learning

Located just after the main entrance of Boots Library on City Campus, across from Starbucks, this new area is dedicated to improving your study skills, supporting academic writing, and more importantly, collaborative peer-led learning. It is a cosy, welcoming space that provides the opportunity for supported learning with access to help from our Library Student Mentors and tutors from our Library Learning and Teaching Team.

At the Knowledge Café you can:

  • work alone or as a group on your assignments
  • drop in from Monday to Friday at 10 am - 2 pm during term time to ask a Library Student Mentor for help with your studies
  • meet Library Student Mentors and tutors for a one-to-one appointment on study skills (how to approach, research, structure and write your assignments and exams, and more) and maths and stats (from basic maths to how to use Excel and other software packages).
  • attend library workshops
  • bring your own drinks and snacks.
