Nottingham City Council re-launches e-scooters across the city
Published: 26/03/2025
Dott e-scooters are now available to hire in Nottingham! The e-scooters provide a sustainable, affordable, and fun way to get around the city.

As part of the scheme, there are:
- 1,300 e-scooters with over 300 mandatory parking spots.
- Ride pass options and no unlock fees - rides start at just 29p per minute.
- Discounts for NHS workers, students, and low-income groups.
- Training resources and beginner-friendly features.
The e-scooters will join e-bikes already available to hire and need to be parked in the painted lines or metal e-scooter parks. These initiatives are part of Nottingham’s mission to ease congestion, reduce emissions, and promote greener travel.
Ride safely
Please ensure you wear a helmet when riding a scooter and pay attention to the city no-go and low speed zones. Make sure you stick to roads and cycle paths — riding on pavements is illegal and puts pedestrians at risk.
