Generous scholarships to Taiwan available now

Published: 21/05/2025

Discover how you can learn Mandarin and teach English in Taiwan for up to three months with this scholarship offered by our partner, I-Shou University.

Taiwan

This is your chance to spend three months in sunny southern Taiwan learning Mandarin and experiencing a new culture. And even better, you can apply for a generous scholarship to help cover the costs too.

Through the Excellent Mandarin Programme, run by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, NTU Global and our partner I-Shou University (ISU) are offering this exciting opportunity to our students.

You’ll spend around 15 hours a week learning Mandarin and exploring the culture, plus at least four hours a week helping ISU students practice their English as part of their journey to becoming a bilingual university by 2028. If you’ve got a background in language support or education, there might even be opportunities to take on some extra paid hours too.

I think taking the opportunity to do something outside of your comfort zone is a great character builder and allows you to see a different part of the world you might have never thought about visiting.
