Returning to in-person teaching? Book your COVID-19 Lateral Flow Test in advance
Published: 03/03/2021
We’re looking forward to welcoming you back onto campus but before we do, there are some steps that we need you to take to help keep the NTU and wider community safe.

Returning to campus
If you are in the UK, you should take a COVID-19 test at a community testing facility before returning to campus if you can. If you’re an international student, there are some things you need to consider before you travel to the UK such as the latest travel restrictions, quarantine or self-isolation and proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
If community testing isn’t available for you, please:
- Book a COVID-19 Lateral Flow Test at an NTU testing facility as soon as possible after your return to campus.
- Take a second test three days after.
- Minimise social contact with others until you have received negative test results from both tests.
Tests must be booked in advance.
Being on campus
Please remember that face coverings should be worn at all times inside all NTU buildings, unless you are exempt.
All students on campus are encouraged to take twice weekly Lateral Flow Tests to help protect our NTU and wider community. You must book your test in advance.
Opening times and locations for all NTU Testing Facilities can be found on our webpages.
If you receive a positive COVID-19 test result and used public transport to get to campus, please call the NTU Being on Campus helpline 0115 848 6060. We will drive you home to minimise your contact with others.
You will then need to stay at your current accommodation and self-isolate for 10 days. Please complete the NTU Coronavirus tracking form so we can support you during your self-isolation period. For more information please visit the Government website for more information and advice.
