Dr Bike is here to give your cycle a free health check

Published: 11/04/2024

Cycling is a great way to improve your health and wellbeing and helps to reduce our impact on the environment. It’s also a good idea to keep your cycle well-maintained too.

NTU’s cycle coordinator will be hosting a FREE Dr Bike Session on each campus.

Bring your bike along and have everything checked from its wheels, brakes, gears and tyre pressure, to lights, racks, pedals, saddles and more. By the end, your bike will feel loved and cared for.

Minor adjustments can be made to your bike there and then. If there’s anything that can't be fixed on-site, the team will let you know exactly what needs doing and provide an estimate in terms of cost at the NTU Cycle Hub.

You can book a 15-minute slot using this form for the following dates and locations:

  • Tuesday 23 April 11 am – 2 pm City Campus
  • Tuesday 30 April 11 am – 2 pm Clifton Campus
  • Tuesday 7 May 11 am – 2 pm Brackenhurst Campus

If you can't make one of the above sessions, there's still the option to pop your bike over to the NTU Cycle Hub, which is behind the Students' Union on City Campus. It's open 10 am – 4 pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Don’t forget that NTU provides lots of help and support to you if you choose to get around by bike - like 300+ spaces to store your bike safely, changing rooms and locker facilities, plus free maps and training.
