Out of term time opening hours across our campuses

Our campuses remain open outside of term time, but opening hours for our services may differ. Find out what services and support are available on your campus.
Term dates
Information about NTU term dates can be found on our StudentHub pages.
The majority of University buildings and services will be closed from Friday 18 April to Tuesday 22 April, and re-opening on Wednesday 23 April. Please see your campus for more information.
Urgent support
For urgent campus or security enquiries, support is available 24/7. Call NTU on +44 (0)115 848 2222 to speak to someone for assistance, or if there is an immediate risk to life call 999 and inform NTU Security or go to the nearest Accident and Emergency department.
If you, or someone you know, is not at immediate risk but has feelings around suicide, there is help available from the external organisations listed below. You can also complete a wellbeing referral form but this will not be picked up between Thursday 17 and Tuesday 22 April 2025.

- Nottinghamshire Crisis Sanctuaries – Open 365 days a year, 4 pm – 11 pm

- NHS Accident and Emergency departments have dedicated Mental Health Liaison staff that can support a Mental Health Crisis.
For support with sexual violence:
- Nottingham Sexual Violence Support Services (Notts SVSS) offer a range of specialist sexual violence support
- Helpline 0115 941 0440 open from 10am - 1pm and 4.30 - 7.30pm,
- or outside these hours you can call the 24hr Domestic and Sexual Violence Helpline on 0808 800 0340,
- Refuge national domestic abuse – 24 hour free helpline, call 0808 2000 247.

The 24/7 Study Zone within Clifton Library is open for study, IT access, and printing on a 24/7 basis. You need your NTU student card ID to access this space, which can be reached via a dedicated entrance when the main library entrance is closed.
