The Student Services Centres (SSC) at NTU offer you a wide range of support and advice to help you get the most out of University life.

Student Support Services might be physically closed, but you can still access our services by phone, email and online. We want to assure you that we’re here for you. We are continuing to deliver our services remotely so although we can’t help you face to face in person we can still see or speak to you via technology.

In order to provide greater information on our opening times, we have identified 11 am to 1 pm as being the time when the SSC has the highest customer demand across our services. You may consider visiting us at the time of lower demand for the optimum customer experience.

All of our completed enquiries in the SSC are also followed up by a simple customer satisfaction survey via email, it lets us know what you think of our service and helps us implement improvements.

Our complaints procedure

Our complaints policy is in line with the University wide policies. Our  complaints procedure aims to deal with problems fully and resolve them whenever possible within a reasonable time limit.

If you have an immediate or urgent problem, then please speak to a member of the Student Services Centre staff, so that we can try to put things right for you straight away.

Our customer service charter  outlines the commitments and promises we have made to deliver a high quality of customer service to all our customers. It outlines from the outset what you can expect from the services we provide.

We will invite you to provide feedback on the experiences of our services in order to demonstrate that we are delivering the level of service as promised in our charter. Methods used to gain this insight will include the SSC feedback survey and the annual SSC focus groups.

Our charter will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure that the commitments we make continue to reflect the needs and expectations of our customers.

The Student Services Centre is committed to providing a high-quality service in a friendly customer focused environment. We aim to work in partnership with you to deliver quality services that are accessible to all. Our service standards outline what to expect when you make contact with us.

Our performance

We monitor our performance on a regular basis to ensure we are delivering the service we have promised, by actively seeking your feedback.

Across all services in the academic year 2018/2019, we achieved a satisfaction rating of 98%.

The Student Services Centre holds the prestigious Customer Services Excellence accreditation, which has been successfully retained since 2011.

The University Strategic Plan sets Gold Standard Customer Service at 70%, which means we are currently exceeding the Gold Standard base level.
