Charging your electric vehicle on campus

Published: 11/01/2023

Do you have an electric car and a parking permit? You can now charge your battery at our Clifton and Brackenhurst campuses.

EV charging spots at Clifton Campus

We have 10 electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Clifton and six at Brackenhurst – these include dedicated spaces for those with accessibility needs.

To use the chargers, simply download the Mer Connect app from Google Play or the App Store and then follow the instructions. For any issues, please email Mer directly at support.uk@mer.eco or call 02038 842 768.

The chargers currently cost 48p per kW to use, which is set at cost price to NTU and may change. You'll still need to pay any normal parking fees alongside your charging fees.

When your vehicle has finished charging, please move it to a normal parking space so others can use the facilities.
