Nottingham named as one of the top 50 student cities in the world

Nottingham has been ranked one of the top 50 student cities in the world in the QS best Student Cities ranking for 2026.

Considering a range of factors, such as affordability, desirability and the opinions of current students, the QS Best Student Cities ranking provides an overview of the best places to live and study around the world.

As a student city, Nottingham also named as a top 10 in the UK and top 25 in Europe. It also scored highly in:

Student mix ‘93.2/100’ - how inclusive the city and country is, number of international students and percentage of students in the city.
Student view ‘85.5/100’ - proportion of students who continue to live in city post-graduation and students' ratings on friendliness, sustainability, diversity and more.

This is another thing to add to the list of Nottingham's considerable accolades - including the Purple Flag status, which reflects the diversity, vibrancy and safety of a night out in Nottingham.
