Digital Skills Coach
In partnership with the East Midlands Chamber, the NTU Employability Team is offering local businesses* between 3 and 12 hours of free digital skills training.
NTU will work with businesses to identify their needs and recruit a suitable student for the role. Coaching can be in-person or online, delivered to a team of employees or as a 1-1 session, and is free of charge.

Digital support examples

- Data management and analysis – increase Excel proficiency across your business, learn how to use Excel to analyse data and produce tables and graphs or get support with data management, organising and storing information.
- Develop email skills – the benefits of sending mass emails, utilising mass email distributors for marketing purposes, mailbox organisation and using folders to organise messages and email signature creation.
- Improve social media capabilities across your team – understand different social media platforms, learn how to set up social media accounts, connect profiles, schedule posts, upload images and use hashtags.
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) - learn how to improve your website content to increase its rankings on search engines.
- Get advice on how to better utilise project management tools to support your business – MS Teams, MS Planner, MS OneNote and Trello.
*(Eligible local businesses in Amber Valley, Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Broxtowe, Chesterfield, Derby City, Derbyshire Dales, Gedling, High Peak, Leicester City, Mansfield Newark and Sherwood, North East Derbyshire, Rushcliffe, South Derbyshire).
The aforementioned support is available from April 1 2024, to March 31 2025, or until all allocated funding has been used.
