Fine Art at NTU

We approach contemporary fine art with a collaborative ethos, working with you to grow your conceptual practice, theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills. Our philosophy is simple: be curious, experiment, reflect and repeat. We’ll give you the freedom to investigate and explore how your work contributes to, and challenges, critical debates in art and society, honing your skills and outlook, and learning what matters most to your own practice.

Our team of lecturers and technicians are all experts in their field and practising artists, curators, writers and makers. You’ll study in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment, working in a range of studios and specialist workshops including metal, wood, ceramics, casting and mould-making, moving image, photography, and sound. National and international artists, creative practitioners and theorists, as well as celebrated NTU alumni share their insight through guest lectures and you’ll have the opportunity to compete for prestigious awards like the Woon Foundation Prize and Bloomberg New Contemporaries.
