Introduction:
Please note: This course is delivered through the Enterprising Ashfield project, which is funded by the Government's Towns Fund. Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is pleased to offer free (fully funded) places on this course to support individuals and employees of businesses that are based in the towns of Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield.
The standard fee would normally be £300.

Who is it for?
Approximately 1 in 7 people identify as having a neurodivergent condition and so it is important that everyone is well informed about neurodiversity, especially in the workplace. This course is open to anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of neurodiversity and may be of particular interest to those working in human resource management and specialised equality, diversity and inclusion specialist roles.
Course overview:
Achieving inclusion begins with understanding the diverse ways individuals experience the world, including the workplace. The Neurodiversity in the Workplace course is designed to build awareness and provide the tools for professionals to support neurodivergent colleagues effectively within their teams and businesses, making the most of their unique strengths.
You will access ideas and tools for effective workplace adjustments so that you can develop impactful ideas and plans for advancing neuro-inclusion within your teams and organisations.
Additionally, this course gives professionals the knowledge of appropriate language when discussing neurodivergence and ensures that professionals stay current with neuro-inclusion, demonstrating a commitment to a supportive and progressive workplace culture.

- Understand what is meant by neurodiversity and its importance to the workplace
- Acquire confidence in talking about neurodivergence
- Identify the strengths associated with neurodivergence
- Be able to optimise contributions from neurodivergent colleagues

Entry requirements
You must be over the age of 18 in order to attend this course.
