Chris MacDonald is a Senior Lecturer on B.A. (Hons) Fashion Communication & Promotion. Aiming to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry practices, Chris MacDonald brings his experience in international fashion branding and product management to the classroom, inspiring the next generation of fashion communications experts at NTU.

Passionate about inspiring students to think critically and creatively about the future of fashion. Chris collaborates with industry professionals to integrate real-world projects into the curriculum, preparing students for successful careers in the fashion industry.

With over 20 years’ experience, Chris's expertise spans consumer insights, brand strategy, marketing, and product development, honed through successful campaigns and projects with international fashion and activewear brands.

Research interests include:-

Activewear; Brand strategy and Marketing; Consumer insights (especially  Gen Z).

Sustainability and ethical sourcing in activewear / fashion.

Evolving brand strategies that resonate with Gen Z.
