Role
As lecturer in textile design, Fiona is a first year module leader teaching across the BA Textile Design course. She specialises in embroidery and mixed media and supervises dissertations within design and visual culture. She also supervises postgraduate students on the taught MA programme.
Research areas
Fiona's professional interests and expertise span the areas of textile design, jewellery, and mixed media through links with the body and space. Her professional experience has included periods of time teaching international students in art and design.
Emerging research interests include: cross disciplinary practice including art/science collaborations; communication and links to visual modes of expression.
