Frank Austermuehl

Frank Austermuehl is Professor of Languages and Intercultural Communication and the Head of the Nottingham Institute of Languages and Intercultural Communication (NILIC), one of the four departments in NTU's School of Arts and Humanities.

A former Fulbright fellow at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., and the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, he is the author of The Great American Scaffold -- Intertextuality and Identity in American Presidential Discourse (Benjamins 2014).

Frank has a PhD. from the University of Heidelberg and has taught at the Universities of Heidelberg and Mainz in Germany, the University of Auckland in New Zealand, and Aston University in the UK.
