Role

Octavia is the EFL and Business English Subject Coordinator for ULP.  In this role, she co-ordinates stages 5-7: EFL and Business English. She is the module leader for EFL Stage 7 and Business English Stage 5 on ULP.

Octavia teaches EFL and Business English on the University Language Programme (ULP). She also teaches in-sessional English on the MA ELT/TESOL and Law modules.

Research areas

Action research in developing pedagogies for critical voice in academic writing, self-reflective writing and contact languages.

External activity

Member of the Society for Caribbean Linguistics.
