Role
As founder and CEO of the Commify group of companies, Geoff built one of Europe's largest business messaging providers. Headquartered in Nottingham and a significant local employer, Commify comprises over a dozen global brands and serves almost 50,000 companies. It was sold to ECI Partners for €300m in 2023.
After graduating from Sheffield University with a degree in Business Studies, Geoff started his career in retail banking, specialising in marketing, where he held a number of senior roles with Lloyds TSB and Alliance & Leicester. He was Customer Marketing Director of emergency insurers HomeServe and a member of its UK board.
Geoff now works as a non-executive director, investor and advisor to software companies and is a member of Nottingham Trent Students’ Union board of trustees. He lives in Nottingham with his wife, who is an Educational Developer at NTU, and they have two children at university.
