Role
As founder and CEO of the Commify group of companies, Geoff built one of Europe's largest business messaging providers. Headquartered in Nottingham and a significant local employer, Commify comprises over a dozen global brands and serves almost 50,000 companies, with annual turnover approaching €100m. Geoff is looking to replicate this success with another private equity backed software company, Business Systems, as Executive Chairman of the London-based contact centre specialists. He also works with a number of local tech startups, as a mentor and angel investor.
After graduating from Sheffield University with a degree in Business Studies, Geoff started his career in retail banking, specialising in marketing, where he held a number of senior roles with the likes of Lloyds TSB and Alliance & Leicester. He was Customer Marketing Director of HomeServe and a member of its UK board, seeing its sales increase tenfold during his tenure, before swapping insurance for software.
Geoff lives in Nottingham with his wife, who is an Educational Developer at NTU, and they have two children at university.
