Career overview

Katie was elected as Nottingham Trent Students' Union as Vice President Education, beginning her term in July 2026. Throughout her time as a student studying BA Business Management & Marketing, and on the committee for a sports club, she worked with students to improve their time at university.

As Vice President Education, she attends numerous boards and academic standards committees, which allow her to act as a representative of student voice within the highest levels of decision-making at university. Her predominant aim is to increase student representation and inclusivity of teaching practices, and increase students' academic confidence by advocating for more detailed quality assessment feedback. She will work on campaigns to reduce exam stress and aim to increase awareness and participation in extra-curricular education.

Throughout her overall aims as Vice President Education, she is committed to improving the overall academic enrichment of students, advocating for all students to thrive at university. Collaborating with Nottingham Trent Students' Union's wider team, Katie is working to improve student experience and ensure that all students are able to access the support they need to reach their potential.
