Teaching Responsibilities
Albert teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students across various accounting modules. The courses he teaches include:

He also provides research supervision for undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding them through dissertations and research projects.

Career overview
Albert joined NTU in October 2023 after serving as a Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Northampton from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, he was an Associate Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Bradford.
His academic career is underpinned by a strong commitment to teaching and research. His expertise spans corporate disclosure, textual analysis, corporate sustainability, credit risk management, and stakeholder engagement. He has taught and led modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, covering topics such as Corporate Finance, Financial and Management Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit and Investigation, Strategic Audit, Business Economics (Micro and Macro), Financial Management, Research Methods, among others.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has actively contributed to research supervision, having guided numerous MSc, MBA, and BSc dissertations. His research has been published in internationally recognized journals such as the International Review of Financial Analysis, International Journal of Financial Market, Institutions, and Money, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Economic Letters, among others.
He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance and an MSc in Finance and Investment from the University of Bradford. He also earned a First-Class Honours BSc in Accounting from Radford University, Ghana. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has played key roles in academic leadership, including serving as a Research Coordinator and Course Tutor.

- Sustainability Disclosure and Analysts’ Forecast Accuracy – Investigating whether sustainability reporting improves the accuracy of financial analysts' forecasts, with a focus on European banks.
- Text-based Evidence of Credit Risk in European Banks – Using textual analysis techniques to measure soft information and its impact on credit risk assessment.
- R&D Disclosure and Carbon Performance – Utilizing factor regression, support vector machines (SVM), and neural networks to predict the impact of R&D disclosure on carbon performance across different sectors.
- AI and Banking Risk – Employing sentiment analysis on annual reports of EU banks from 2005 to 2023 to assess public and corporate sentiment on AI and its impact on banking risks.
