Role

Jane is Module Leader for the postgraduate module Strategic Management Accounting and teaches on a range of management, tax and personalisation modules at both under and postgraduate. She supervises undergraduate business research projects and postgraduate consultancy projects. She also supervises placement students.

Jane is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance and Course Leader for the MSc Finance January intake, and assistant course leader for the MSC Finance Suite.

As Assistant Course Leader she supports the Course Leader contributing to leadership and management and associated activities. She also leads the January Finance intake.

Career overview

Jane began her career as a Chartered Accountant before moving into higher education.  She has worked for several private institutions delivering professional accountancy qualifications before working within the University sector. Prior to working at NTU, Jane lectured at BPP, working closely with the top 4 accounting firms teaching those studying for their professional accountancy exams across the ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS, CIMA and AAT qualifications. She has 20 years of teaching and examining experience and has worked for several professional accounting bodies in developing, writing, and assessing exams.
